Baahubali completed the triad over the weekend. Not only did the film have the largest domestic weekend but it also broke the same record internationally and worldwide. The film pulled in $22.2mn (₹146cr) on 1260 theatres in around 60 markets for a worldwide opening weekend of ₹503 cr, making it the 1st film ever to cross 500 cr mark in opening weekend. It broke the previous weekend record in overseas held by Dhoom 3 and Sultan worldwide by more than double margin. With these two records film swept the records which were being targeted.
Film broke opening weekend record for Indian films in almost every major market except United Kingdom and Malaysia where Dhoom 3 and Kabali still holds the record. Record breaking markets include North America, UAE, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Nepal and so on. Film collected $2mn from 56 screens in IMAX format which is more than triple of what Dhoom 3 earned in same.

- Middle East : $4.5mn
- Asia : $3mn
- Oceania : $2.15mn
- Europe and Africa : $2mn
Film not only broke opening records but almost neared lifetime records in various countries which includes North America, Australia, Nepal and New Zealand where by end of week film will be biggest earner.
In other news, Dangal had a premiere in China where it grossed $8,385 in 17 shows. Film has performed brilliantly in Taiwan which could be repeated in China. Film release on 5th May in China.
